Taltoli: Lack of Recreational Facilities, A Bil Divided Road Become One

Taltoli (Bengali: তালতলী) is a beautiful place to visit during the rainy season under Naogaon upazila. It’s a road beside Dighli Bil (Bengali: দীঘলি বিল). This road goes towards to the Dubalhati Royal Palace. Beginning at Naogaon’s Gostohatir Mor, water flanks this road during the rainy season. At times, the water seems to almost touch the road’s surface, creating a captivating sight. This mesmerizing scene draws visitors from near and far. When the bil fills with water, both passenger and freight boats become active. At that time, many recreation loving people rent boats for short journeys across the bil. Trees lining both sides of the road further enhance the area’s natural beauty, making it a scenic spot.

Recreational Facilities in Naogaon

There is a lack of recreation and sightseeing places in Naogaon town. A few years back, Naogaon Zila Parishad Park was the only place of recreation place for the entire people of Naogaon town. However, within the last few years, some government and private park are established. Among them, “Abdul Jalil Park”, “Dana Park” and “Sahana Bagh City” have been established and these additions have addressed some of the local demand for recreational places, but there remains a noticeable shortage.

Sahanabag Park is not accessible at any time for everyone. It is a private housing initiative in Naogaon. During festival time people come to Taltoli or goes to the Naogaon Town Bypass road with their friends and family.
