Who was Swami Pranavananda?
Swami Pranavananda (Bengali: স্বামী প্রণবানন্দ) or Acharya Srimat Swami Pranavananda Ji Maharaj (Bengali: আচার্য শ্রীমৎ স্বামী প্রণবানন্দ জী মহারাজ) is a spiritual Hindu teacher and organizer. His lessons are highly respected by the followers of Hinduism. Swami Pranavananda born in Bajitpur village of Faridpur District of present day Bangladesh on the 29th of January 1896. His childhood name was Binode Bhuiya (Bengali: বিনোদ ভুঁইয়া). He founded the Bharat Sevashram Sangha (BSS) and many other sanghas, both in India and Bangladesh. Naogaon Sevashram Sangha is one of his founding organization in the district’s headquarter in Bangladesh. The Bharat Sevashram Sangha has its permanent headquarter in 211, Rash Behari Avenue, Ballygunge, Kolkata. Swami Pranavananda died in 8 February 1941 AD.
About Naogaon Sevashram Sangha
The Naogaon Sangha was founded in 1923 AD on Sevashram Road in Naogaon town. It is a branch organization of Bharat Sevashram Sangha. The Sangha has various religious and social activities. The Sangha premises include Pranab Udyan, Pranab Hostel, Pranavaananda Bhavan (a temple), Swami Satchidananda Sadhu Nivas, Swami Pranavananda Sanskrit College, Festival stage.

The institution’s boundary wall is covered with Swami Pranavananda’s inspirational quotes. While they are based on Hindu community teachings, they also attract people of various faiths. The Bharat Sevashram Sangha’s signature color is a variant of yellow. As a result the Sangha wall was painted in that color and black colored written quotes on it enhanced its contrast that attracts those who pass by through the Sevashram road.
